After spending 13 years with severe Fibromyalgia with my wife and I going to doctor after doctor looking for a way to feel better we were searching for anything that would help her get better, getting different tests from each doctor with little more than a pile of doctor bills to show for it. What do the Doctors say Fibromyalgia is?
Ok we know how it feels from the inside but let’s see how the doctors define it and diagnose it. Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition (because it seems like it lasts forever) and is recognized by the widespread pain in your muscles. It also affects the ligaments, fascia (the white sheathing you see over the muscle on meat that you buy), and tendons. Those of you who still suffer from it will have fatigue and up to 18 tender points on the body. These tender points are places on your body where even slight pressure can cause pain. The diagnosis of Fibromyalgia requires that at least 11 of them be active and sensitive touch.
In Fibromyalgia the pain is generalized and it seems like you just hurt all over with no obvious cause. If you suffer from Fibromyalgia your body will likely feel aching, throbbing, burning, and stiff. Most of us experience severe headaches, including migraines and eye aches with a general sense of tiredness. Women are much more likely to develop Fibromyalgia than men and the likelihood of developing Fibromyalgia or cfids disorder seems to increase as we get older.
Symptoms of Fibromyalgia

The Causes or why am I being punished with this?
No one really understands why Fibromyalgia or (CFS) or (Cfids) attacks anyone. There is no one root cause of Fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia shows up because of a combination of factors including changes in the quantities of certain Brain Chemicals. Fibromyalgia sufferers often have abnormally high levels of brain chemicals called neurotransmitters. We can have high levels of substance “P”, which sends the pain messages to the brain increasing the pain we feel. Most of us also have lower levels of the sleeping chemicals called Serotonin and Melatonin. This means we are not likely to sleep well, leaving us constantly tired. Serotonin and Melatonin are the chemicals that aid us in sleeping so sleep is often broken with hourly visits to the bathroom or just waking up a lot leaving us tired and stressed in the mornings. We can also experience other problems such as restless leg syndrome or sleep apnea.
